KDWC 99.3 FM serves the Pipestone, Edgerton & Luverne, Minnesota area as a unique blend of faith-based programming and local community service, forming an important part of the Christensen Broadcast Network.

The station’s origins are tied to the expansion of digital broadcasting in southwest Minnesota. Prior to its launch on 99.3 FM, the programming that would become KDWC was carried on the HD3 subchannel of KJOE 106.1 FM, utilizing HD Radio technology to introduce a contemporary Christian format to the region. This signal was then extended to traditional FM listeners through a translator on 99.3 MHz in Pipestone, allowing the format to reach a broader audience.  

In the fall of 2018, Christensen Broadcasting officially launched KDWC Radio 99.3 FM, establishing the station as a full-time outlet for Christian Contemporary music along with positive messaging and community-focused programming. Branded as “We Care Radio,” the station was built around a mission to “Enlighten, Inspire & Brighten” listeners through uplifting content, local news, weather, and sports coverage.  

KDWC quickly became known not only for its music format, but also for its strong emphasis on local service. The station provides coverage of community happenings, along with severe weather updates and information important to the region.  

In 2019, KDWC expanded its accessibility beyond the airwaves by launching online streaming and mobile app availability, allowing listeners to tune in from anywhere.  

A significant milestone came in March 2026, when Christensen Broadcasting aligned its AM and FM branding by transitioning 800 AM in Luverne to the KDWC call letters and format, creating a multi-signal network that included 99.3 FM and 800 AM—all unified under the “We Care Radio” identity.  

Today, KDWC 99.3 FM/800 AM continues to serve southwest Minnesota as “Your Inspiration Station,” combining faith-based music with a strong commitment to community connection—extending its reach both on-air and through digital platforms.
